I decided to take the weekend off of my close calorie monitoring and exercise. When I think back on my food choices, I realize that I didn’t really vary too much from what I have been doing all along.

I started Friday evening by buying a cheese pizza on the way home.  Drew and I split the pizza (I had three pieces and he ate the rest).  When I did a quick calorie check, I noticed that the pizza that I had decided to get (Little Caesars) had 50-100 less calories than Pizza Hut or Papa Johns.  (A last minute decision that paid off well for me.)

Saturday for lunch we went to Shane’s Rib Shack and I had smoked wings, which are less calories and better for you than fried wings, but more calories than I would normally consume for lunch.

Yesterday, at the GA Renaissance Festival, of course I ate a huge turkey leg!  That is first time that I have ever eaten one of those by myself.  I guess I was hungry!  Then I had three bites of Sausage on a Stick and a couple of bites of Drew’s Fried Mac n Cheese.   Finally, Drew talked me into buying him a Frozen Lemonade, which he only ate about three bites of.  I tried eating it and was doing pretty well until I read the nutritional information… 100 calories per serving…and there are THREE servings per container.  I stopped at one serving and handed it off to my husband. 

Finally, as hot and tired as I was when we headed home, cooking was the LAST thing I wanted to do, so we stopped by Little Caesars again.  Not the healthiest choice by a long shot, but it was better than some choices I could have made. 

Now it is a new day and a new week and I am about to go pack my nutritious salad for lunch.  I am back on it, although, all things considered, I didn’t really stray that far… I couldn’t… my brain and my body wouldn’t let me!
