Take a minute to think back and reflect……Did you waste 2011?  What are you going to do differently in 2012?  You can’t expect a difference result if you don’t make the changes needed to achieve your goals.

Financial guru Dave Ramsey makes an analogy about a log jam.  In the old days when loggers would chop down trees, they would float them down the river to the mill.  Periodically the logs would get jammed up together and in order to get them flowing again, the loggers would have to throw dynamite into the jam, inevitably losing a few logs in the explosion, but getting the rest of the logs flowing again.

Sometimes in life we have to throw some dynamite into the log jam.  I can say that in the last year and half, my life has unwittingly had many sticks of dynamite tossed its way and I can definitely say that I am a much better person for it.  The initial explosion can be catastrophic, but what is rebuilt as a result of the explosion is a work of art, if you put in the time and effort to make it so.

As we approach 2012, I suggest that you strike a match and light that dynamite.  Once lit, direct it at your log jam, wherever that might be, and blow it up!  Get your river of happiness flowing again and see how wonderful 2012 can really be!
